Gifts to UNC Asheville support a variety of opportunities as diverse as our donors themselves. From the UNC Asheville Fund, to an academic department, to scholarships, your gift can be designated to any area of campus you are passionate about.

Gifts-In-Kind
Not all gifts to the university are monetary. Sometimes donors have the means to provide goods or services that have financial value but are non-cash. Our staff can help determine the value of your donated goods or services, and you will receive gift credit with UNC Asheville.

Student Emergency Fund

Bulldog Athletics Fund
More than 75% of our student-athletes receive support from the Athletic Scholarship Fund to continue their education at UNC Asheville. These scholarships are vital for their ongoing success – on the field and in the classroom.
Why We Give: A Donor’s Perspective
When I had a shortfall of funds one semester, I can recall a professor calling financial aid and explaining my situation. Luckily, I was awarded a scholarship and able to continue my education at UNC Asheville. This is why I have chosen for the last 20 years to support student needs by being a monthly UNC Asheville donor. From my personal experience, I can tell you that we make a profound difference in student lives. And… it just feels good to be part of that process!
Loyal Blue at Work:
152 donors, including 115 alumni, pledged their support to the newly established Drs. Mullen Don’t Be Afraid to Change the World Scholarship in honor of Dwight Mullen and Dolly Jenkins-Mullen, two of the first Black faculty at UNC Asheville. This scholarship was awarded for the first time during the 2024–2025 academic year.
